Kevin Donte Watts, 42, was taken into custody without incident at the Econo Lodge in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, by members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force’s Camden Division.
Watts was wanted by the Bucks County Detectives for an aggravated assault warrant issued after a shooting that occurred at 1 a.m. on Oct. 11 at the Orchard View Apartments in Morrisville Borough.
Authorities allege that Watts shot another man in the stomach after a verbal dispute and then fled the scene.

Federal authorities believe Watts fled to New Jersey immediately after the shooting and had been hiding there since.

The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort involving the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces in Philadelphia and New Jersey, Bucks County Detectives, the Morrisville Borough Police Department, and the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.
“The U.S. Marshals Service is proud to support our Bucks County law enforcement partners in bringing fugitives to justice and we value the strong partnerships that make arrests like this possible,” said Robert Clark, supervisory deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
