The storms caused significant damage and there were trees reported on homes and vehicles throughout the Levittown area.
As of 2 p.m. Friday, PECO reported more than 6,200 customers in the area remained without service.
While some residents were told power might be restored by late Friday night, State Sen. Frank Farry, who also serves as chief of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, said PECO officials anticipate a multi-day restoration effort.

Comcast and Verizon customers also reported service disruptions following the storm.
Bucks County spokesperson James O’Malley said there were numerous road closures across the area in the storm’s wake.
The National Weather Service’s regional office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, received reports of multiple large trees and branches down in Lower Bucks County, including Langhorne Borough, Tullytown Borough and Fairless Hills.

“From the damage reports we have received thus far from the storms June 19, it appears the damage was caused by straight-line winds of 60 to 70 mph,” forecasters said. “At this point we don’t see any evidence that a tornado occurred.”
Street flooding that happened during the storms had dissipated by late Friday night as the rain moved out of the area.
PECO released a statement saying more than 1,400 contractors and crews from other utilities were assisting utility crews in the region, with an additional 250 workers arriving Friday afternoon.

“These dedicated crews are working alongside PECO’s employees to repair the extensive damage and get the lights back on as quickly as possible,” the statement read.
PECO officials urged residents to stay away from downed power lines and damaged electric equipment.
Anyone who spots downed wires has been asked to report them by calling 800-841-4141.
