The cemetery, which is nestled against the Holly Hill neighborhood along Levittown Parkway, serves as the final resting place for members of the Pemberton and Morris families, who were associated with the nearby Bolton Mansion.
Concerns were raised late last week when several posts on Facebook depicted apparent damage at the site. The images prompted responses from concerned citizens and inquiries to LevittownNow.com.
A visit by a reporter this week found the cemetery in good order, with recent clean-up efforts visible.

Bristol Township Manager Randee Mazur said the issue was resolved and the township had hired a contractor to remove all of the poison ivy from the small cemetery.
A neighbor is getting a fence work done and that crew has performed some work in the area of the cemetery, Mazur said.

Beau Fleming, a Bristol Township building and planning official, looked into the issue on Monday.
Fleming found the largest memorial at the cemetery taken apart, so he put it back together, Mazur said.

The township officials also shot down a rumor that a fence was going to block access to the cemetery, which is owned by the municipality.

A resident who lives near the cemetery told LevittownNow.com the small cemetery is often tidied up by local residents and cleaned out every few years by the township. They added that the believe the township should invest additional funds to restore the cemetery and add a historical plaque.
According to a posting on FindAGrave.com, the cemetery used to feature more grave stones, but many have disappeared or broken over the years.

The nonprofit Friends of Bolton Mansion oversees the homestead a short distance from the cemetery. The mansion dates back to 1687 and has seen expansions over the centuries. It was part of a 500-acre farmstead that served many uses, including part of a farm and the Bristol Township Police Department headquarters until 1967.
