After episodes on Sunday and Monday, the judges cut dozens of contestants, including Moyer.
The show is down to its top 24 contestants.
In his debut on “American Idol” last month, Moyer, a Neshaminy High School Class of 2019 graduate, earned a “golden ticket” to move forward.
Moyer’s journey on “American Idol” was highlighted by a memorable audition where he performed Roxette’s 1987 hit “It Must Have Been Love.”

The performance not only earned him a coveted “golden ticket” to Hollywood but also a standing ovation from the judges—Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan.
“It was super crazy,” Moyer shared in a recent interview with 6abc. “It feels like you’re in the TV box when you stand in front of the judges. It’s so surreal, but they’re so awesome.”

Before stepping onto the national stage, Moyer took musical theater at Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio.
Moyer has also been active on social media. He has shared song covers on his TikTok account.
Moyer’s journey to “American Idol” began with a Zoom performance, followed by a trip to Los Angeles in October to audition in front of the show’s celebrity judges, as reported by Philly Voice.

The singer continued the legacy of Neshaminy graduates making their mark on the show. Anthony Fedorov reached the finals in 2005, and Catie Turner was a finalist in the 2018 season, with both continuing their performance careers post-“American Idol.”
