Middletown Township welcomed three new public safety employees on Monday evening.

The three new officials were sworn in before the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors.
The Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services swore in Middletown Township resident Darrell Martin as a fire inspector and firefighter.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services Chief Mark Antozzeski said Martin previously worked as a firefighter for U.S. Steel and a safety inspector for a contractor. He has also served at all ranks of the Penndel Fire Company over the years.

The department recognized Firefighter Riley Collins, who joined in 2019 and did not get a public ceremony at the time. He is a lifelong Middletown Township resident and member of the William Penn Fire Company.

Antozzeski said Collins, who recently graduated from Eastern Gateway College with a fire inspection degree, has handled fire inspections, fire prevention events, and social media for the career department that covers the township during the daytime hours.

Also at the meeting, Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla welcomed officers Robert Anselmi and Tyler Stanley to the township.
The two officers were recently sworn in by District Judge Daniel Baranoski, a former township officer.
Anselmi is a Langhorne Borough native and a Neshaminy High School graduate.

Bartorilla said Anselmi worked for the parks and recreation department and public works department when he was younger. He then graduated Bucks County Community and West Chester University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He attended the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy.
Anselmi previously worked as an officer for the Bristol Borough Police Department.

“Anselmi is testimony to the power of service and commitment to the local community,” said Bartorilla.
Stanley joined the suburban police force after working as an officer for the Philadelphia Police Department.

Bartorilla said Stanley grew up in Philadelphia and Montgomery County. He previously applied in Middletown Township, but he was too young so he joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

Stanley comes from a law enforcement family. His grandfather is a retired Philadelphia Police Department inspector, his dad is a current inspector, and his mother has also worked for the city’s police department.

The chief said Stanley is “excited for the next stop of his life and career.”
