Falls Township police said the incident is apparently connected to one earlier that day involving a fight between two groups of juveniles and/or young adults in the parking lot at Pennsbury’s Penn Valley Elementary School in the nearby North Park section of Levittown in Falls. Several people were injured in the brawl that involved knives and sharps objects.
A bogus Instagram account that allegedly was used to defile someone’s memory was the reason for the earlier altercation, according to authorities.
Gavin Stanec, 19, of Woodbourne Road in Levittown has been charged this week with aggravated assault, simple assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, possessing firearms without a license, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Falls Township detectives Stephen Reeves and John Vella stated that Stanec told a confidential informant that he got out of the car that day and fired numerous shots at the residence because subjects in the home had “stabbed his friends,” an apparent reference to the school fight earlier on Aug. 23.
Bullets went through the home on Willow Drive, causing several thousands dollars of damage,, but no one was hit.
Stanec used two guns of different calibers believing them to be a 9mm and .40 caliber, according to police.

Early on, police said the investigation was hindered by a lack of cooperation.
Stanec was preliminarily arraigned Friday before District Judge Jan Vislosky and held on 10 percent of $950,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims.
