On Saturday around 7 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police and medics were called to I-295 eastbound just past the Route 1 interchange for a crash that involved a motorcycle.

According to state police, an SUV attempted to merge into the left lane in front of a 2019 Kawaski ZX6R motorcycle. The motorcyclist lost control.

The rider – a 25-year-old man from Lower Southampton Township – fell off the motorcycle and slid onto the median and into a ditch, while the motorcycle continued sliding off and hit an embankment, state police said.
