With forecasts showing a chance for rain and snow for parade day, organizers said Wednesday they are keeping a close eye on the weather and will make a decision on whether to cancel the parade on Friday.

At 8 a.m. Saturday, a pre-parade mass will take place at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School at 611 Wistar Road.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bristol Township. From there, the parade will march on New Falls Road to the Levittown American Baseball Fields (across from the Thornridge Shopping Center) in Falls Township.

The parade will feature, music, bagpipes, Irish dancers, local businesses, and emergency responders.

Following the annual parade, a celebration, called a Hoolie, will take place at noon inside the Ancient Order of Hibernians at 614 Corson Street in Bristol Borough.

The theme for 2022 parade is “Sláinte is Táinte,” which translates to health and wealth.

Bill Ryan, vice president of governmental affairs at the Einstein Health Network, was selected as the grand marshal for the parade’s 2022 outing.

“I am honored by the fact the St. Patricks’ Day Parade Committee has been focused on community in a time like now,” he said when being honored at last week’s Bucks County Commissioner’s meeting.

“At a time like today, right now, after what we’ve been through as a nation over last few years and what we’re going through across the globe, community is more important than anything,” he added.

Ryan is a Pennsbury High School graduate.
