“To help keep drivers safe on the roads, Bucks County police departments will team up with the U.S. Department of Transportation in an all-out blitz against impaired drivers,” District Attorney Matt Weintraub said.

The county’s top law enforcement official urged those going to a Super Bowl party Sunday to have a safe plan for their ride home. He also encouraged hosts of parties to make sure their guests have a safe ride to their home.

The U.S. Department of Transportationโ€™s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Pennsylvania DUI Association are part of the “Fans Donโ€™t Let Fans Drive Drunk” campaign.

The enforcement drive among numerous departments in the county will take place on the day the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams face-off.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving said 47 percent of all traffic deaths on Super Bowl Sunday 2017 were caused by drivers who were under the influence.

“This Super Bowl Sunday remember: Fans don’t let fans drive impaired,” Weintraub said. “Let’s all enjoy the game and be safe.”
