One Frank Hogan, a shipyard worker, was intoxicated and so much under the influence of liquor that he created a general disturbance when an officer attempted to place him under arrest. Then some bystanders tried to interfere and Hogan and the officer went to it, with the result that both were fairly well shaken up, but the police got the best of his man and landed him in the station house.
Hoganโs brother, only a lad, who gave his name as James B. Hogan, interferied with the officer in making the arrest and was also taken into custody.
This morning both men pleaded guilty and paid an aggregate fine and costs of $16.35.
