A late November traffic stop along I-95 south in Bristol Township led Pennsylvania State Police to suspected drugs and a large amount of cash.
Troopers conducting a patrol on the highway on Wednesday, November 27 spotted a Honda Odyssey minivan with what appeared to be darker-than-allowed window tints and a cracked windshield pass them. They pulled out and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver – identified as Carlos Ivan Hernandez, 37, of Kissimme, Florida – told troopers he had just purchased the minivan in Pennsylvania and was heading back to Orlando. He was unable to provide information on where he purchased the vehicle and where the hotel he claimed to have stayed at was located. He also did not have any luggage, according to court papers.
The troopers said they felt the situation was strange and suspected criminal activity. They called a Philadelphia Police Department drug dog, which ended up alerting to possible narcotics in the vehicle.
Troopers said they found a bit more than a half-pound of suspected heroin and $30,000 cash wrapped in green cellophane.

Hernandez was arrested and arraigned on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; deal in proceeds of unlawful activity; possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and improper sunscreening. As of Friday, he remained in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $900,000 bail.
