Neighbors said between 4 and 8 gunshots rang out around 11 p.m. Sunday in the dark alleyway between Airacobra Street and Bloomsdale Road in Bristol Township.
In the minutes that followed, the alley went from dark to bathed in the blue and red flash of LED emergency lights from arriving police cruisers. The officers from more than one nearby municipality centered their attention on the crumpled body of 22-year-old Cashe Conover.

She was gunned down and killed in the neighborhood where she lived. The one where she grew up.
As of Monday evening, Bristol Township and Bucks County detectives continued to work the homicide case that rocked the close-knit neighborhood that sits off Green Lane.

The screams of friends and relatives cracked through the nighttime air as police and detectives milled about the crime scene. One-by-one, the news spread through those who knew Conover.

“She’s 22 years old. I shouldn’t be having to bury my 22-year-old daughter. She should be burying me,” Conover’s mother told CBS 3. “I just want Cashe to be remembered as the fun-loving person she is. She had her issues like every other kid but at the end of the day she was the life of the party.”
While rumors swirled around the Bloomsdale-Fleetwing section Monday, neighbors reflected on the young woman’s death and talked about what happened.

Victoria Ballard said Conover was “a girl full of life.”
“This is her home. This is all of our homes. She didn’t deserve it,” she said.
“She was a beautiful young lady. We all have issues and problems. She was loving, always had a smile. Always said ‘good morning.’ Always said ‘I love you,’” Conover’s longtime neighbor said to 6abc.

In the hours before the shooting, Conover watched the Philadelphia Eagles game spent time with family, friends and family told reporters.
Conover’s Instagram story featured a stop a watering hole and then a quick video of two Bristol Township police cars about two hours before the shooting happened. The details of why police were in the area were not immediately clear.

While police pieced together the night, they released few details of substance to the public. A short press release provided just the basics.

The Bloomsdale-Fleetwing section has cameras operated by the police department scattered throughout on poles. The entrances have cameras that track and record the license plates of vehicles. Neighbors said the alleyway where the shooting happened isn’t easily covered by the cameras.

“I don’t know if they get there. I hope they’re going to check them. I hope,” a neighbor, who didn’t want their name published, told LevittownNow.com.
