Local Towns Invite Residents For National Night Out

Levittown-area communities will be taking part in National Night Out Tuesday evening.

Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown, and Penndel are inviting the community to attend their events.

Bristol Township’s National Night Out event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Municipal Complex at 2501 Bath Road. There will be emergency responders to meet the community, a selfie station, bounce houses, and free snacks and drinks.

Falls Township will be holding their National Night Out event at Community Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will feature a ceremony honoring emergency responders, a police K-9 demonstration, and a child ID program.

Middletown’s event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Municipal Complex at 3 Municipal Way. The festivities will feature food, kids activities, child ID cards, emergency responders, and police building tours. Fundraising from National Night Out will support Middletown’s Shop With A Cop program that aids children in the Neshaminy school District.

Penndel will host their first National Night Out event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Borough Hall at 300 Bellevue Avenue. The event will feature a walking tour of historic buildings, refreshments, and police officers.

Nearby, Bensalem will host their National Night Out Event at Township Pavilion at 2400 Byberry Road from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morrisville will hold their National Night Out event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Williamson Park.

National Night Out started in 1984 as part of an effort to grow police-community partnerships, bring together neighborhoods, and offer crime prevention information. It is regularly celebrated the first Tuesday of August and draws about 38 million people across the U.S., Canada, and American military facilities across the globe.
