Paints Flies, Pole Taken Out In Parkway Crash

A pickup truck hauling paint crashed Sunday evening.

The single-vehicle crash happened at Crabtree Drive and Levittown Parkway in Bristol Township’s Levittown section around 5:30 p.m.

The bed of the pickup truck appeared to be filled with buckets with paint that exploded open when the vehicle crashed right after the sharp bend in the road. Paint was spotted on the driver, road, vehicle, and nearby grass.

The driver did not appear seriously hurt, but the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad responded, according to a bystander.

The crash was blamed for knocking out power to about 1,500 customers in Levittown.

Around the same time, a two-vehicle crash happened nearby in Fairless Hills.
