Members of local law enforcement were recognized by the FBI for their work on a case that put a Bristol Township man in prison.
Bucks County Deputy District Attorney Antonetta Stancu, a Bensalem Township Police detective, and members of the Pennsylvania Attorney General Office’s Gun Violence Task Force received FBI commendations for their work that led to the arrest and prosecution of Noah Dratfield last year.

“It was an honor to be recognized alongside the talented state, local and federal law enforcement officers who worked together in this matter,” Stancu said in a statement from the district attorney’s office. “This teamwork with our law enforcement partners helped remove firearms from the hands of those who legally shouldn’t have them.”
Dratfield admitted to making false statements about himself while filing paperwork to purchase firearms at stores in Upper Southampton and Tullytown. He also had previously told investigators that he bought multiple guns and kept them at his home in Bristol Township’s Levittown section. State authorities and FBI special agents searched the man’s home and did not recover all the weapons.
LevittownNow.com reported previously that federal investigators had been keeping tabs of Dratfield’s gun purchases. Bucks County prosecutors had filed paperwork that stated there was there was suspicion that Dratfield purchased or used the proceeds of weapons sales “not to further street crimes but to support domestic and/or international terror groups.”

Last year, Dratfield was sentenced to three to six years in state prison with a following three years on probation.
