The residents of a Bristol Borough home were assault during a targeted home invasion, according to police.
The home invasion happened shortly after midnight in the 200 block of Cleveland Street when three suspects forced their way into the residence. The occupants of the home were assaulted and police from Bristol Borough and Bristol Township were called.

Police said the residents fought back and one of the suspects – Robert Vincent Monacelli, 26, a Chester County resident who previously lived in Levittown – was injured. Officers found him in a semi-conscious state at the home.
Due to his injuries, Monacelli was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
Monacelli was eventually medically cleared by doctors and transported to the police station Monday afternoon.

The two other suspects fled the scene and police said they were working to track down their identity.

Monacelli was arraigned on charges of burglary, conspiracy, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and simple assault Monday afternoon by on-call District Judge Michael Gallagher. He was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $200,000.
Police said Monacelli had warrants out of Bucks County and Philadelphia.
According to county court records, Monacelli had been confined in Bucks County as recently as last year after his probation was revoked due to a violation. Monacelli appears to have a history of drug-related arrests in Berks, Bucks, and Philadelphia counties and a 2016 receiving stolen property conviction in Montgomery County.
