The longtime deputy director of TMA Bucks has been named the organization’s new executive director.

Stephen Noll has been serving as Bensalem-based TMA Bucks’ acting executive director since September 2017. The Board of Directors announced his permanent appointment last Wednesday during the organization’s annual meeting at the Northampton Valley Country Club.

“I am honored to lead this outstanding organization moving forward,” said Noll, a resident of East Rockhill in Upper Bucks County. “I really think it is important that as a TMA we continue strong information and educational programing, expanding and creating more community engagement and growing the organization with business partners who share our goal of addressing transportation issues, reducing traffic congestion, and improving public transportation access in Bucks County.”

During his 15 years as TMA Bucks’ first deputy director, Noll oversaw planning, management, and contract administration for the nonprofit’s various projects. He played a role in large-scale projects like the $150 million Quakertown-Lansdale commuter rail restoration project and a regionally-recognized effort to integrate compressed natural gas fueling in Bucks County’s public and private fleets.

TMA Bucks Board of Directors President Philp Wusta credited Noll’s work over the years and his efforts over the past year to improve the organization’s financial standing.

Noll serves on the Bucks County Enterprise Zone Board and previously was a councilman in Dublin Borough. He has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State and is working toward his MBA at West Chester University.

Also at the annual meeting, transit services coordinator Brandon Shaw and communications manager David Walter were recognized and thanked for their 10 years each with TMA Bucks.

TMA Bucks works with government, residents, and companies to provide transportation management services and to improve transportation throughout Bucks County.
