The group behind the Middletown skate park revival was out in full force on Saturday hosting a skate jam to raise money for the project.
The effort is spearheaded by Rich Van Horn, the owner of Dogwood Skate Shop in Langhorne, and a number of his customers and local skaters. Saturday’s skate jam included raffles, food, and Dogwood skateshop merchandise for sale. Winners of the competition also received prizes.

The group came together at the Falls Township Community Park to use the township’s skate park for the fundraiser. The next planned event for the skate park, according to Van Horn, will be the group’s participation in Middletown Township’s annual Fourth of July parade.
The group has raised more than $20,000 for the new Middletown skate park.
