With recent attention on the December fatal hit-and-run in Bristol Borough, police also reminded the public Friday that there are two similar unsolved cases in the past decade.

The families of the victims have been denied justice in those cases and police efforts have not yet led to charges against the drivers who fled the scenes.

On May 26, 2017 shortly before midnight at Route 13 and Beaver Street, Donna Anderson, 50, of Bristol Township, was struck by a dark-colored vehicle, possible a 2004 to 2009 Nissan Quest minivan. The driver fled after striking the woman who was crossing the street. Police said the striking vehicle was in the southbound lanes and turned west onto Bath Road.

Steve Henry, chief of the borough police department, said 86-year-old Cecilia Profy was struck and killed by a dark-colored SUV in the 700 block of Radcliffe Street on the evening of December 9, 2008. The SUV driver stopped and assisted the elderly victim before leaving the scene. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s or early 60s, about 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair.

Anyone with information on either fatal incident have been asked to call Sgt. Pete Faight at 215-788-7813, ext. 2429.
