The employee’s co-workers rushed to help him and used a forklift to remove pieces of steel, Dippolito said.
While the worker’s body was removed, his injuries were too severe and he was pronounced dead, the fire marshal said.
Police and the fire marshal were on the scene as of late afternoon and had contacted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
