A candle sparked a smokey fire early Monday afternoon at a home in Middletown.
Fire crews from several area departments rushed to the home in the unit block of Tempo Road around 12:20 p.m. They arrived and doused the smokey blaze that caused damaged throughout the home, fire officials said.

William Penn Fire Company Deputy Chief Jim Bampfield said the fire was contained fast and there were no injuries.
A resident was upstairs when they noticed their first floor on fire and called it in to 9-1-1, Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said.
The fire marshal explained to LevittownNow.com that the candle sparked some combustibles that were near it and flames began to spread.

The Red Cross was called in to aid two adults and two children who live in the home.
The Fairless Hills, Langhorne-Middletown, Parkland and Penndel fire companies assisted William Penn crews. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad also responded.
