Langhorne Borough police have arrested one local man after they allegedly watched him complete his second burglary at the same East Maple Avenue address.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Patrolman Tim King, officers from Middletown, Langhorne Manor and Penndel responded to reports of a burglary in progress in the 100 block of E. Maple Ave on Friday, February 17. Officers noted once on the scene they observed 42-year-old Kurt Waldman coming from the back of the residence.

Waldman, a resident of Langhorne, was immediately taken into custody and searched. A probable cause affidavit notes that Waldman was found with a $10 roll of quarters, two prescription medications with the victim’s name on them, a gold ring, and loose change on his person.
Waldman, after waiving his rights, told police he had removed the front screen to the home, opened the window, and climbed inside before grabbing the items. Waldman noted that when he attempted to exit the residence, officers took him into custody, police said.
Waldman, while in police custody, was also questioned about a similar burglary which had happened just a few days before. When police informed Waldman they had DNA evidence from the scene, he told officers “it was probably his”. Waldman then admitted to entering the residence the same way on Monday, February 13 and removing approximately $400 in cash, police said.
