In addition to hosting Santa’s visit, Inspire Federal Credit Union will be accepting donations of canned food and personal hygiene products. All donations will be given to Mary’s Cupboard, an emergency food center in Levittown, serving low-income households in Bucks County. Credit Union members or individuals in the community are able to make donations beginning Monday, November 14th through Santa’s visit on December 10th. Donations can be made at either Inspire Federal Credit Union branch in Langhorne or Bristol.
This is the second year the credit union has partnered with Mary’s Cupboard. Last year Inspire Federal Credit Union donated over 400 pounds of food to Mary’s Cupboard during the holiday season. Inspire FCU is aiming to donate 1,000 pounds of food in 2016, with 200 pounds already being donated during a prior drive, Operation Helping Hands, which was a partnership with United Way of Bucks County.
“We’re excited about Santa visiting Inspires Langhorne branch to welcome children and listen to their wish list,” said Jim Merrill, President/CEO at Inspire. “We’re excited join him in spreading holiday cheer by supporting local families in need of food and basic nutritional needs.”
