Three Bristol Township residents were charged with robbery in connection with an alleged September incident.
Detective Michael Slaughter wrote in court papers that officers responded to the Green Lane Apartments on Sunday, September 11 at 3:11 a.m. for a man who reported he had been beaten and robbed. Upon arrival, the man said he met a woman he knew as “Lilly” from a Morrisville strip joint and was robbed by two men outside after the woman’s car allegedly overheated.

The man who reported being robbed told investigators one suspect pointed a gun directly at his face from about three feet away and the other forced him to the ground.
One of the suspects – James Anthony Hunt, 24 – grabbed the man’s wallet and the other – James Valentine Jr., 25 – took a family ring and car key from the man, police said. Court papers list the amount of cash taken during the robbery as $2,600.
On Tuesday, September 13, police began surveillance on Hunt and Lilly – identified as Brandy Wells, 20 – and determined they were in a relationship, police said.

In an interview with detectives, Wells said the man who reported being robbed stalked her and Hunt. She also said Hunt gave her money obtained from the man, according to court papers.
Hunt told a similar story and said he had to bear hug the man after he followed Wells and feared he would hurt her. He added that the man threw his wallet at him and he kept $600, court papers stated.
The man who was reportedly robbed had contacted various people connected to Hunt, Wells and Valentine to demand his items back, Hunt told police.

Police noted that Hunt never called them to report any incidents that he claims happened between the man and Wells.
The three defendants were charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and related offenses.
Hunt and Wells were arraigned Tuesday morning by District Judge Joanne Kline and released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
