A Penndel woman was released from prison Monday after an alleged drunken incident with police.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, Penndel and Middletown police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Neshaminy Street for reports of a domestic incident. When they arrived, they met with the victim, who asserted that Kimberly Kratzke, 51, of Penndel, was highly intoxicated and out of control. The victim informed officers that the woman’s behavior had been ongoing and that Kratzke had even punched her in the mouth several days ago, as noted in a court affidavit

Officers quickly came in contact with Kratzke, who exited the home and began screaming at officers and instructing them to leave. According to court documents, when police instructed Kratke to go back inside, she lunged at them, began pointing her finger in the officer’s face, and shoved the officer before being safely placed into handcuffs.

As noted in police documents, Kratzke reportedly continued her behavior even after officers were taking her to their squad car, yelling obscenities at the officers and the victim before being taken to police headquarters. While at police headquarters Kratzke allegedly admitted to shoving the officer.

Kratzke was arrested and charged with aggravated and simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct in the incident. She was arraigned and later released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
