Inspire Federal Credit Union teamed up with Middletown on Saturday to host a shredding event.
Usually put on separately, the two entities teamed up to make a big impact to help reduce the number of identifying papers thrown away regularly.

In its 11th year by Inspire, the shredding event is a way to “fight against identity theft and fraud,” said Brian Phillips, AVP of relationship development at Inspire.
The event was supported by Middletown Township and its police department. The township assisted in setting up the event, running it and making sure that cars entered and exited the area safely.
