According to information provided by the township, FEMA representatives will give an overview in the process that goes into making the Flood Insurance Rate Map. The meeting will feature a question and answer session and a break out portion so residents can talk with FEMA officials.
Recently, FEMA flood maps for the region have changed. Unless you own property that falls in the flood map outright, flood insurance is mandatory and is most commonly purchased through a federal program.
