LOL: Police Ask Public For No ‘Star Wars’ Spoilers


Philadelphia police aren’t joking around – no “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” spoilers! Okay, well, they actually are only joking around.

In a light-hearted social media post, the city police department advocated for making Star Wars spoilers illegal in advance of the much anticipated film’s release Thursday evening.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the first film in the franchise to be released in 10 years. Disney worked hard over the past few years to keep a lid on any spoilers related to the film that brings back the cast of the original franchise and also adds a new crew.

Police Lt. Stephen Clark tweeted a funny photo of two officers preparing to arrest two Stormtroopers along South Street.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which is expected to become one of the top grossing movies of all time, is set to premier at the United Artist Oxford Valley theater at 7:15 p.m. Thursday evening. Tickets are still available online.
