Both organizations have asked those that support the legalization of medical marijuana to come out and let their voices be heard in support of Senate Bill 3 and it’s original intentions, to provide refuge forย those suffering from once incurable conditions with the medical benefits of cannabis.
Senate Bill 3, or what has become known as the Compassionate Use of Cannabis Act, is a 2015 redesign of Senate Bill 1182, which passed 43-7 inย the Senate atย the end of the 2013-2014 session. The bill, however, was a disappointing ending mark for what Dana Ulrich, her family, and many other families liked hers hoped it would be.

โIt was completely gutted,โ Dana told LevittownNow.com back in March. Dana said the condition list, which began at 45, was shrunken to just 10.

The rally at the wharf is a plea for Senate Bill 3, which has passed through the Senate twice, but not yet through the House of Representatives, to not see the demise of the bill that came before it.
Ulrich’s daughter, who has been on every medication imaginable, suffers from roughly 700 seizures each and every day. The Bristol Township turned Berks County girlย ย suffers from intractable epilepsy and nothing has limited her seizures quite likeย vagus nerve stimulation. The stimulation to her brain, helps to rebootย itย every three minutes for 30 seconds, helping to reduce her once 1400 seizures each day in half.

Ulrichย hopes that medical marijuana legality in Pennsylvania would allow doctors to see patients and recommend the plant if they see it as helpful to their condition. Since Ulrich lives in Pennsylvania, a state where the substance is not legal, Ulrich is left to fight for her daughter’s right to try it.
โWhen I first started this fight, I had no idea there were other people in PA fighting this,โ Dana said. โI started this fight for my daughter and I very quickly met other people in the same boat as us, now I donโt just fight for Lorelei, we all fight for each other.โ
