A construction worker along Green Lane in Bristol Township was involved in an incident with a school bus.

According to Bristol Township School District officials, the construction worker was carrying a four-by-four piece of wood and turned as the bus was driving by on Green Lane Monday. The piece of wood was flung the other way when the four-by-four struck the mirror of the passing bus, hitting the worker in the face.

It was not immediately known if the construction worker was injured.

Theย Student Transportation of America-owned bus was transporting nine students and one teacher at the time. All of those on the bus were uninjured and parents were informed.

A district review of the bus’ GPS system showed the vehicle was traveling at an “appropriate speed at the time of the event,” spokesperson Leza Raffel said.
