A former member of the armed forces wasn’t messing around when a New Jersey man tried to carjack him in Tullytown Monday afternoon, according to police.
The ex-military member reportedly told the suspect who tried to carjack him to show him the gun he claimed to have around 3:30 p.m. When the suspect did not produce the weapon, the man drove off and the carjacking suspect went on his way, police said.

The carjacking suspect – identified as Terrance Booker, 33, of Jersey City, New Jersey – ended up stealing an unoccupied SEPTA work truck that was running in the area of the Levittown Train Station a short time later, police said.
The SEPTA work truck was spotted on Bath Road in Bristol Borough shortly after it was taken and Booker was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Booker is expected to be charged Monday night with receiving stolen property, theft and terroristic threats.
