It was a sea of blue Bristol Township Education Association (BTEA) shirts in the audience of the Bristol Township School Board’s Monday evening meeting.
The several dozen teachers were at the meeting to remind the board the teachers have been without a contract for more than two years. One member of the teachers’ union said the action was meant to remind the board that their teachers continue to work without a contract.

In addition to the union members, several newly-hired teachers were in attendance to meet their requirement to attend at least one board meeting.
District officials said their negotiating team and the BTEA continue to try to work out a deal.
Since the previous contract expired, both sides have remained mum on where contract talks stand.

None of the members spoke of the showing during public comment.
The district is also currently working to negotiate contracts with its other bargaining units.
