Should Bristol Borough put up warning or no swimming signs along the popular wharf at the end of Mill Street?
Borough officials are investigating whether they will put up signs after the July drowning death of 22-year-old Virginia resident Marquis “Mack” Richardson. He went swimming near the wharf, bobbed up and then disappeared under the water near a buoy 30-feet off the shore.

Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe said at the August meeting that signs would be put up if needed.

“If the borough does have to do something, then we’ll do it,” solicitor William Salerno said on the matter.
Several officials said they could not recall any other recent deaths from swimmers in the area of the wharf.
