Over the weekend, Middletown Township police officers uncovered an attempted burglary suspect just blocks away from the alleged scene of the crime.
On Saturday, July 25, police were dispatched to the Quincy Hollow section of the township for reports that someone had tried to enter a residence through a side window. When a house alarm by the resident was activated, the actor reportedly fled the property.

Officers immediately noticed bicycle tracks which led to and from the side window of the Quaker Hill Road home and uncovered 34-year-old Joseph Capizzi riding a bicycle just a few blocks away. According to officers, Capizzi was sweaty and seemed out of breath when he told officers he was riding to his home within the section.
A probable cause affidavit noted Capizzi was found with a black zippered hardcase, a leopard change purse, and a small Tylenol pill bottle inside in his pockets. The black zippered case was found to contain a GPS which contained a ‘home’ address of an abode in Indian Creek, while the Tylenol bottle was found to contain eight Clonzepam 2mg pills as well as nine Alprazolam 1 mg pills.
Police in Bristol Township followed up on the GPS address, where the resident indicated that the GPS had in fact been stolen from his vehicle.

Capizzi, who was taken into custody on an active warrant out of Philadelphia, later admitted to police during an interview that as he rode his bike from his girlfriends in Indian Creek to his home in Quincy Hollow, he removed the purse and GPS from two separate vehicles. Capizzi also told police he had been on the property in Quincy Hollow, but had only looked in the window.
Capizzi was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and related theft charges. He was sent to prison on 10 percent of $100,000 bail. He awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled with District Judge John Kelly for August 6.
