A Bristol Township man was arrested following reports of gunshots.
Gerald P. Masgai III, 26, of Croydon, was charged with a single felony count of possession of a prohibited firearm. He was arraigned midday Monday before Frank W. Peranteau Sr. and is free on 10 percent of $30,000 bail.

Police said they were called to the 1900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Croydon around 5 a.m. Monday for reports of shots fired.
An officer wrote in court papers they saw Masgai pull a gun from his waistband and throw it in a trashcan.
Upon further investigation, police found a Ruger 9mm handgun loaded with two rounds, according to court papers.

Police said Masgai was previously convicted of aggravated assault in 2010.
