The popular Golden Eagle Diner at the corner of Route 13 and Bath Street in Bristol Borough was damaged early Saturday when a car slammed into it.
Police said an SUV slammed into the dining room of the eatery around 3:30 a.m. after the driver lost control.

Despite the heavy damage to the building, no injuries were reported, according to police.
An investigator said they do not believe the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
“It is a very sad Saturday, but what are we do to?” Huseyin Gunaydin, owner of the eatery, told LevittownNow.com.

Engineers are expected out to inspect the building and determine if there is seriously damaged.
“I hope no building structure is damaged and this is fixable,” Gunaydin said.

Golden Eagle Diner remained open and was serving customers despite having a portion of the dining room roped off.
