The cries coming from a parked vehicle outside of Parx Casino first alerted a passerby that something was wrong. Inside, a 7-year-old boy was calling for his father.
Police allege a father – later identified as Bryan Bolds, 32, of Philadelphia – left his 7-year-old son inside his vehicle in the “C” lot for a period of time before authorities were called late Tuesday afternoon.

When police were able to make contact with Bolds, he admitted to playing blackjack in Parx for several hours, according to court papers.
While speaking with a detective, Bolds reportedly said he “felt like an idiot” and was “sorry” for leaving the child in the car, court papers state.
During Bolds’ arraignment, it was stated by the district judge that the Philadelphia man had left the child in the car for 45 minutes before police arrived, but a press release from police said it was nearly three hours.

Bolds said during his arraignment that he was unemployed and lived with his wife and the boy.
Bensalem police worked with Parx security and the Pennsylvania State Police to find and arrest Bolds.

Bolds was charged with a single count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $70,000.
