The Neshaminy School Board is expected to meet Tuesday evening inside the board room at Maple Point Middle School in Middletown.
The board will hear an update on plans to move fifth graders to the district’s three middle schools. A presentation on the plan was presented before the Educational Development Committee last Tuesday.

The controversial plan is currently undergoing planning before it takes effect in September 2015.
District officials have previously said the 5 – 8 middle school model, which was approved by the board in fall, would provide students with increased access to social emotional learning opportunities, more time in specials, access to more activities and grade-level teams.

Residents have previously been vocal about concerns regarding the well-being of students, cost to the district and the timeline.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the board will also vote on contracts for the $20.89 million plan to upgrade three elementary schools. PlanCon materials for a new elementary school in Lower Southampton will also be voted on.
The school board meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m.
