Police are looking for a tow truck driver accused of stealing cars in Lower Bucks County.
An arrest warrant was filed Friday for Ryan Steven Heierbacher, 25, of Philadelphia, Tullytown Borough Chief of Police Daniel Doyle said. A court file on Heierbacher says he faces 15 charges including theft, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime.

Heierbacher is accused of illegally towing four vehicles from the Levittown Town Center and selling them to a junkyard on the Falls and Morrisville border, police said. The 25 year-old reportedly worked for a towing company and was stealing vehicle’s off-the-clock.
While Tullytown officers were investigating the sale of the thefts of the vehicles at the junkyard, state troopers also looking into Heierbacher for alleged vehicle thefts in Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Philadelphia and Middletown arrived, Doyle said. As of Friday afternoon, no charges related to the state police investigation had been filed.
Doyle cited the work of Tullytown Officer Kyle Heasley in the investigation. He added that even the victims helped police and checked local junkyards.

Heierbacher is not believed to be armed or dangerous, but Doyle said he is asking for the public’s help to locate the suspect.
