A quiet night in suburbia quickly turned violent when a man was jumped while parked in a in his driveway late at night, according to police.
On August 14 at roughly 10:45 p.m., a man was parked in his driveway in Falls Township. The man was then approached by another man identified by police as Cody Phipps, 22, of Levittown, according to court documents.

Phipps threw open the car door and punched the man in the face, according to the probable cause affidavit. Phipps then grappled with the victim and threw him to the driveway where he continued to punch and kick the victim, police said.
The beating continued until another individual involved themselves to stop the conflict, according to court documents.
The man experienced cuts on his face, head, arms, shoulder and back as well as a chipped tooth as a result of the altercation, according to court documentation.

Police did not release a motive for the attack.
Phipps is being charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct engaging in fighting. His bail was set at 10 percent of $25,000.
