Bucks Young Dems Holding Cookout to Support Housing Program

The Bucks County Young Democrats are holding a cookout aYoung Demst Core Creek Park in Middletown Wednesday night. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Bucks County Housing Group.

“We decided to donate to the Housing Group after donating food to the Penndel food pantry a few months back. The Bucks Young Democrats feel  addressing poverty, hunger, and homelessness should be a central focus of elected officials in Bucks County and across the commonwealth,” said Stephen Seufert, Chairman, Bucks Young Democrats

The Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG) offers a number of programs and resources to residents of the county and manages 80 scatter site low income housing units. It also offers housing counseling, and hosts the a county “affordable housing locator”  site is supported through federal and state grants and private donations.

Seuefert said those intending to attend should look for a  large sign for directions to the cooking since the pavilions are not clearly marked. The cost to attend if $20. If you have any questions please contact the Bucks County Young Democrats.
