A Morrisville man pleaded guilty Monday to stabbing the mother of his child and her mother inside a Falls Township apartment early this year.

Roy Summers, 19, of Morrisville, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and several other offenses. He will be sentenced in the coming weeks.

Police say Summers stabbed his girlfriend close to 20 times and then went into another room in an apartment at the Pennsbury Woods apartment complex on February 7 and stabbed her mother just as many times.
The girlfriend had just given birth to a child less than a week before. The baby was placed by in a bassinet before the attack began.
The attack reportedly only stopped when the 19-year-old heard the cell phone that belonged to his girlfriend’s mother ring. He grabbed the phone, told her he didn’t want to live and asked her for “all her pills,” according to police.

The daughter closed the bedroom door and managed to escape out an apartment window and go for help, court papers say.
Summer stabbed himself several times and was taken into custody. Authorities say he ingested a number of pills following the attack.

The attack is believed by police to have started after Summers and his girlfriend began having a conversation that angered him. At that point, he began mumbling to himself, “Why do you have to make me so angry?” according to court paperwork.
Summers remains in county jail unable to post bail.
