Gas Station Robber Comes for Cash, Leaves with Cigs

A robber came to a business looking for cash last week and made of with cartons off cigarettes instead.

The robber – identified as a heavy-set white male dressed in all black – broke the lock to the front door of the East Coast Gas Station on Route 13 in Croydon as the clerk was closing up around 9 p.m. last Thursday. The suspect then displayed a black gun, possibly a revolver, and demanded money, Acting Bristol Township Chief of Police Lt. John Godzieba told LevittownNow.com.

In the end, the suspected made off with two cartons of cigarettes after reportedly getting nervous while waiting for the money, Godzieba said.

The clerk was uninjured in the robbery.
