According to police, the chase started at 6:56 p.m. in Bensalem after a state trooper spotted a 2012 Suzuki GSX motorcycle he believed had an expired registration. Torres-Ruiz is accused of not stopping when the trooper initiated the traffic stop.
Court papers say the chase reached speeds between 100 MPH and 120 MPH.
The chase reportedly ended when Torres-Ruiz’s motorcycle lost control on loose gavel at exit 46A. Police said Torres-Ruiz was attempting to go around a patrol car.
