A 69-year-old owner of a door installation and repair business will head to trial on accusations he threw nails in the parking lot of his competitor.

John Brogan, 69, of King of Prussia, on Tuesday waived charges of criminal mischief and seven counts of disorderly conduct and harassment to county court in Doylestown.

Police said Brogan, who owns a door company headquartered on Clyde Waite Drive,  threw nails in the parking lot of a competing door-installation and repair business located on Route 13 last month.

The owner of the Route 13-based company told police the nails thrown in his parking lot have caused at least $1,000 in tire damage to vehicles, according to court papers.

Brogan was identified as a suspect by the Route 13 business owner, police said.

When speaking with police, Brogan also admitted to throwing nails in the parking lot on more than one occasion, according to court papers.

The 69-year-old remains free on his own recognizance.
