There was drama Wednesday at District Court in Bristol Borough as a woman charged with simple assault and harassment had to be instructed several times to keep quiet by District Court Judge Frank W. Perenteau Sr.
Lane Stocker, 33, of Bristol, according to court documents, attacked the victim with a kitchen butcher knife on January 11 scratching him above the waist during a brief struggle.

The victim fended off Stocker until authorities arrived and held her with a glass table top, according to court documents.
Stocker, prior to and during court proceedings continually turned to the public section of the court room to address the victim, pleading with him to testify on her behalf, which the victim refused to do.
“Tell them the truth,” Stocker said to the victim as she was warned by constables to turn around and face forward while the hearing was going on.

Stocker, who has been in Bucks County jail since her arrest in January, started to cry while her attorney attempted to calm her down.
The witness, from the gallery of the court, said he is refusing to testify without providing a reason why.

Stocker prior to the hearing referred to herself sarcastically as a “threat to society.”
The victim sat and stared straight ahead as the hearing continued.
In 2011, Stocker pleaded guilty to child endangerment, public drunkenness, and institutional vandalism was sentenced to 36 months of probation which she is still serving, according to online court documents. Originally she was charged with a slew of aggravated assault charges in that case.

In October of last year, she was convicted for her second DUI offense and according court documents was sentenced to serve 90 days to 11 months on house arrest.
Stocker while court was in session, directed comments at Perenteau who had to instruct her several times to “be quiet” and take guidance from her attorney.

At the request of district attorney’s office, the case against Stocker was continued until March 12.
Stocker sat nodding her head in disagreement as the continuance request was discussed by counsel for both sides with the Pereanteau.
