The challenge for any successful, established business with decades of tradition and loyal customers is to expand. “How do we develop a type of customer engagement outside of the usual transaction mode of day-to-day business?” is what many local business people wonder.

Jaybird’s Tattoo Studio on Route 13 in Levittown asked just that question recently, and what they came up with is not only pleasing to the eye but designed for tattoo lovers everywhere to really do some creative unique things, said Stacy Farhat.
Jaybird’s Tattoo Studio launched a new website and added a social media twist to it by holding a contest, Farhat explained.
We knew it was time to reach out to the social media audience and for weeks we worked on getting the site constructed. The real challenge is getting new people to it,” she said.

That’s where the contest idea and social media page ideas came in.
Here’s what you do:

Got to Jaybirdstattoos.com, check out the page, get a feel for it. Then click on the connect tab and create a free profile and then invite your friends to create their own and “like” yours, Farhat explained.
The most likes for a given page wins a $300 gift certificate for a tattoo from the studio where “machine meets art.”
There are second place and third place gift certificates, too, but time is of the essence since the contest ends at 11:59 p.m. on December 22. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 23 and some lucky tattoo lover could very well be getting some art work done for Christmas as LevittowNow.com will be there to meet the contest winner!

In addition to the new website and profile contest, there’s also the ability to create and share personal tattoo ideas and bring them to life.
Its a great place to share ideas, start tattoo projects, make layaway payments and get others to weigh in on the body art others are designing.

Right now the studio is making the effort to raise its online presence and visibility because they feel its a place they have yet to leverage. If success and a loyal customer base is any indicator, Jaybird’s will surely succeed. With a Facebook page gaining traction and creating buzz, plus an app for mobile devices, the studio says so the experience is interactive too. You can also find Jaybirds on Twitter @jaybirdstattoos.
JayBirds which is located in a unique triangle-rising from the ground building, has been located at 7405 Bristol Pike in Levittown for over 20 years and is family owned and operated.
