A Bristolย Borough resident had enough and helped Bristol Borough police capture the man who allegedly robbed a barrel of scrap from his backyard on Farragut Road early Monday morning.
The barrels of scrap, Tom Soto said, was being saved to cash in for Christmas gifts for his son.

Soto told LevittownNow.com early Monday morning that he came outside to find that a ladder was moved, the side view mirror of his truck adjusted and the barrel filled with copper fittings and electrical wire gone.
Soto then called borough police as he made his way to the Tri State Metal Inc. on Hunter Lane in Bristol. Upon arrival, Soto said, he saw two men unloading ย a barrel that looked exactly like the one stolen from his backyard.
According to witness accounts, police arrived on the scene shortly afterwards placing one man in custody and taking him to police headquarters.

Soto said this is the second time a barrel of scrap was robbed from his backyard this weekend.
“Friday night or Saturday morning a barrel of scrap was robbed and I’m pretty sure its the same guys,” he said
