Police Find Woman Covered in Blood, Court Docs Say

A Bristol Township man was charged with attacking a woman Sunday around dawn.

Frank Howell, 46, was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge John Waltman and sits in county jail on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

According to police, Bristol Township officers responded to Welsford Road in the Fairless Hills section of the township for a reported assault at 5:26 a.m. They arrived to find a woman with her shirt covered in blood at the address, court documents state.

The woman told police Howell pushed her against the the wall and caused a laceration to her head.

She was taken by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown for treatment of her injuries. No word on the extend of the wounds.
