A Langhorne man and his wife are facing robbery charges police say after the couple were arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot on Commerce Boulevard Saturday, police said.
The couple – Justin Shubert, 29, and Amy Shubert, two days short of her 26th birthday, both of Olive Street – attempted to leave the mega store with two boxes of nails and a roll of wire valued at $160, court documents state.

The episode began when the Shubert woman was observed by store security staff stuffing items in her handbag while her husband stood in front of her, police said.
Both suspects then proceeded to the front of the store, passing registers without paying for the items stashed in the woman’s satchel, the probable cause affidavit reports.
Security staff approached the woman in an attempt to detain her when she “began to flail her body,” and her husband then engaged in a wrestling match with the guard and taken to the ground, police said.

Security staff detained the couple till Falls Township police arrived.
Justin Shubert was charged with four counts of robbery, retail theft, and simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Amy Shubert was charged with retail theft, conspiracy, disorderly conduct and use and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bristol Township District Judge Joanne Kline arraigned the couple and sent them to Bucks County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 bail each.
